ENGINE Engages with Stakeholders at #Futurismo Consultation Event

On 4 February 2026, the ENGINE project engaged with key regional stakeholders during a consultation event organised within the #Futurismo initiative at the Department of Economics – University of Foggia. Represented by Prof. Mariantonietta Fiore, Dr. Fedele Colantuono, and Juliana Carina Bagetti, the ENGINE team joined a diverse group of researchers, citizens, and professionals from SMEs and startups to explore innovative development strategies for the Province of Foggia, with a particular focus on the tourism and hospitality sectors.

The ENGINE team showcased the project’s progress toward developing EDUPACK, an educational toolkit designed to equip students with entrepreneurial and innovation skills tailored to rural challenges and opportunities. The consultation featured four simultaneous thematic working tables—resources, digital, marketing, and structural services—where facilitators led collaborative brainstorming sessions aimed at identifying strategic solutions and anticipating trends for tourism and hospitality development. ENGINE’s framework offered valuable insights into how entrepreneurial education can drive sustainable tourism and economic growth in rural areas.

By directly engaging with local stakeholders and capturing their perspectives on the territory’s potential, ENGINE is positioning itself to prepare the next generation of rural leaders.
